Nicole M. Dovishaw

Associate

During law school, Mrs. Dovishaw was a member of the Women in Law Society. In addition, Mrs. Dovishaw completed pro-bono work for the Pennsylvania Innocence Project. After graduating, Mrs. Dovishaw worked as a Law Clerk in the Foreclosure Department of the Superior Court of New Jersey. In this position, Mrs. Dovishaw acted as a mediator between mortgagors and mortgagees to determine if alternative resolutions were available in lieu of residential foreclosure. Following her clerkship, Mrs. Dovishaw worked at an insurance defense firm in Montgomery County focusing on first-party property damage cases, first-party coverage litigation, and bad faith litigation. At McCormick & Priore, Mrs. Dovishaw continues to focus her practice on first-party property damage, coverage litigation, and bad faith litigation, along with third-party liability cases, and underinsured and uninsured motorist benefits disputes. Mrs. Dovishaw is the current chair for McCormick & Priore’s Property Damage Claims Department.

Mrs. Dovishaw was born and raised in Erie, Pennsylvania. Mrs. Dovishaw currently resides in New Jersey with her husband and two cats, Hunter “Zoom” Zolomon and Pietro “Quicksilver” Maximoff. When not at her desk, Mrs. Dovishaw can be found crocheting while watching and critiquing the newest horror, superhero, or true crime movies. Mrs. Dovishaw also enjoys trips to Wildwood, reading comics books, eating sushi, and game nights with friends. Mrs. Dovishaw’s favorite season is fall and naturally, her favorite holiday is Halloween. Prior to her morning cup of coffee, Mrs. Dovishaw could herself be considered “A Nightmare on Market Street.” But once the first coffee of the day is obtained, she is back to being your friendly neighborhood lawyer.
